This winter and spring, I’ve had several pieces included in a gallery popup in Sag Harbor and East Hampton, NY, curated by ArtUnprimed. Along with several scarves, I received a custom request for the skinny Olivia scarves but in neutral colors that mimic the look of sand. Here’s a small collection that resulted from the development.
I learned my lesson with the previous development to try frame loom samples first to see how the colors would interact with one another. The great thing about custom pieces is being able to play around with materials and getting feedback before moving on to production. I have to say, as far as end-on-end constructions are concerned, these were so much fun to weave.
